Key Responsibilities

  • Providing customer support and account management duties to assigned small group, mid-market, and/or special market clients.
  • Serving as a point of contact for existing clients, maintaining positive relationships, and maximizing sales opportunities during the renewal process.
  • Focusing on retaining and growing existing accounts.
  • Promoting local service club and community involvement and attending local events to maintain presence in the market.
  • Crafting targeted strategies designed to meet specific client needs and providing product recommendations.
  • Meeting regularly with assigned client accounts and ensuring clients are consistently satisfied with the organization's products and level of service.
  • Providing information to clients about changes to products, underwriting policies, and billing procedures.
  • Delivering member or client materials as needed.
  • Supporting open enrollment meetings and providing client trainings, if applicable.
  • Identifying additional sales opportunities during the renewal process.
  • Maintaining knowledge of company products, new service offerings, policies, regulations impacting the business, and highlighting benefits to the consumer.
  • Collaborating with internal team members to ensure smooth implementation and coordination of renewal and sales activities.
  • Ensuring necessary documentation is completed and internal systems are updated.
  • Developing a professional rapport with clients to enhance ongoing business relationships.
  • Travel outside of core business location is required.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in business, Marketing, Healthcare or related field.
  • 3 years of Sales, marketing, or account management experience with a strong knowledge of the insurance industry and customer service experience.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and define methods, practices, and procedures to resolve issues.
  • Strong communication skills and flexibility to support employees in various situations.
  • Creative mindset and proactive attitude to improve processes and projects.
  • Self-starter with high energy, commitment to excellence, and diligent work ethic.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work with varying timelines.
  • Equivalent combination of education, experience, or training may be acceptable.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

  • Educational background including an associate's degree or higher.
  • Experience in sales, marketing, or account management, particularly in the insurance industry.
