The role involves regional enterprise sales account development within an established geographic territory, focusing on complex services and product sets to drive sales, increase brand awareness, and grow the territory. The position allows for work from home in Idaho, Montana, or Utah, with at least 25% of time spent outside the office engaging in sales activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnel of identified and proposed opportunities to meet or exceed sales quota requirements.
  • Developing regional enterprise sales in the designated target markets by identifying new sales opportunities through cold calling, premise visits, networking, lead generation, proposal submission, and customer appointments.
  • Building effective relationships internally through cross-functional collaboration with teams such as Customer Success, Product, Marketing, Solutions/Technology, Sales Support, and Service Delivery.
  • Identifying, bidding on, negotiating, and closing new sales opportunities to meet and exceed sales and revenue quotas.
  • Creating comprehensive account plans and strategies to win new business from existing accounts.
  • Providing input to sales management about trends within customer organizations and recommending future actions to improve the company's position.
  • Leveraging strategic client relationships and external presence to achieve Lumen's strategic goals.
  • Using external networks to identify and recruit high-performing talent and building internal relationships for career development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • 5-7+ years of experience using a solution-based sales methodology for enterprise technology services in a complex, consultative sales process.
  • Strong communication, written, and formal presentation skills, with proficiency in selling to close.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong business acumen and expert knowledge of Lumen's products, services, and solutions.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred.
  • Ability to conduct at least 50% of sales activities outside of the office.

  • Educational background including a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
