The role of an Account Manager for Finished Fluids involves driving customer success and business growth by leveraging industry knowledge and relationship skills to deliver solutions that foster long-term partnerships. The position includes managing and expanding sales through distribution, engaging with OEMs, formulating strategic sales plans, providing technical support, collaborating with internal teams, conducting market analysis, representing LANXESS at industry events, and building internal relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive customer success and business growth with LANXESS as an Account Manager for Finished Fluids.
  • Manage and grow the business through distribution by developing new sales opportunities.
  • Engage with OEMs for both first fill and aftermarket business to expand market presence and increase revenue.
  • Formulate and implement long and short-term strategic sales plans for the finished fluids business.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align sales strategies with overall business objectives and ensure successful execution.
  • Offer commercial/technical support for industrial finished lubricants through various forums such as email, visits, virtual meetings, and trade shows.
  • Provide technical data, advice, and solutions to sales teams, distributors, and customers, generating meaningful sales opportunities.
  • Work closely with product management, business development, technical teams, and other internal stakeholders to develop solutions with existing or new products for current and new applications.
  • Conduct market analysis and research to identify trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
  • Represent LANXESS at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote finished fluid products and network with potential customers.
  • Build and maintain collaborative internal relationships with sales, application technology, technical service, product management, business development, production, supply chain, and procurement teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Science, Engineering or a related field or comparable experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Account Manager role or similar position.
  • Commercial experience with a strong customer focus, business savvy, and driven to generate sales revenue.
  • Finished Fluids application hands-on experience and comfort working safely and on-site with customers and OEMs.
  • Creative and solution-oriented strategic thinker with the ability to consider new approaches to problems.
  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial skills and the ability to take action quickly to accomplish goals.
  • Ability to travel up to 60 percent of the time.
  • The territory may encompass all regions of the United States.
