The role involves working within the Middle Markets practice as a dynamic and collaborative Account Manager responsible for placement, renewal, and overall service of new and existing business, acting as an ambassador internally and externally, and working closely with Account Executives to drive strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stay up to date with coverages and market trends affecting assigned book of business, demonstrating ability to clearly communicate these details with clients.
  • Coordinate with Account Coordinators and Account Executives; work directly with a Producer when necessary.
  • Create client deliverables, participate in client presentations and the strategic planning process.
  • Manage multiple clients in accordance with P&C practice service requirements and best practices to sustain client retention.
  • Lead Marketing and/or Renewal process; request information from markets and clients, review documents, develop specifications, secure quotes, analyze proposals, and negotiate changes or make recommendations.
  • Deliver strategic overview on accounts, review documents, and ensure client needs are met.
  • Build positive relationships with clients, carriers, and team members.
  • Ensure timely policy review and delivery.
  • Manage contract review, explain and clarify details with clients verbally and/or in writing.
  • Market and cross-sell additional lines of coverage, involving team members when faced with challenging issues or to showcase capabilities.

Requirements

  • Proactively and effectively manage and service clients to meet needs, timelines, and expectations.
  • Read and interpret information clearly for clients and colleagues both verbally and in writing.
  • Build relationships and interact in a tactful and professional manner in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
  • Proactively overcome barriers and find acceptable solutions to client issues.
  • Coach and develop less experienced staff members and foster camaraderie within the Practice.
  • Experience & Qualifications: College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and shift focus as priorities change.
  • Required to obtain applicable insurance license(s) within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel as necessary.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in insurance brokerage or related field.
  • Additional industry-specific certifications or licenses.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to obtain insurance license(s) within 90 days.
