The Perinatal Specialist is responsible for effectively communicating and selling the benefits of Rapid fFN, the Fetal Fibronectin test and other perinatal products to clinicians in an assigned geographic territory. Additionally, the role involves providing educational support to OB/GYNs and other clinical professionals in both office and hospital settings, as well as strategic business planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales goals and achieve maximum sales in assigned territory.
  • Accurately forecast and maintain an individual territory book of business in accordance with a 90-day quota for assigned and acquired products.
  • Achieve individual sales revenue quota on a quarterly and annual basis for assigned and acquired products.
  • Develop and execute business plans for targeted accounts.
  • Complete a territory business analysis for management review on a quarterly basis.
  • Attend quarterly Plan of Action Meetings within district.
  • Provide Rapid fFN Fetal Fibronectin in-services and training to Labor and Delivery Staff, per the territory needs.
  • Effectively sell Hologic's sales message to all customers in the targeted territory.
  • Manage time effectively; prioritize and make sound decisions regarding meeting daily sales expectations and various business priorities.
  • Partner with marketing department to support the development and execution of marketing programs and sales materials.
  • Attend local and national professional trade shows and events and promote products to all customers.
  • Update and synchronize all relevant customer account information into Hologic's Data Management System daily.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Travel overnight approximately 60% of the time.

Requirements

  • Strong persuasiveness and influence skills required.
  • Demonstrated evidence of sales accomplishments preferred.
  • Ability to sell in a consultative manner to discover and address customer needs in an individualized clinical and data-driven manner.
  • Team player capable of building strong relationships with different teams.
  • Quick learner with the ability to master new concepts rapidly.
  • Detail-oriented with effective task management and prioritization skills.
  • Comfortable speaking in public and presenting information professionally to various groups.
  • Extensive coordination with others, requiring organization and time management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and articulate scientific literature and use complex clinical data in sales.
  • Familiarity with clinical and economic outcome data, reimbursement, and managed care policies.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
  • At least one year of sales or transferable experience; business-to-business sales experience highly preferred.
  • Valid driving license, satisfactory driving record, and a serviceable vehicle for work use.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with clinical and economic outcome data, reimbursement, and managed care policies.

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.

  • Total compensation range of $95,000 - $100,000, based on base salary and commission plan.
