Job Description

About the Role

The Account Manager is responsible for achieving sales revenue targets within their designated territory. This role involves managing the entire sales process, including customer engagement, quoting, order processing, product shipment, training clinical staff and distributors, supporting Aerogen distributors, launching new products in collaboration with the Marketing team, building strong relationships with physicians and clinicians, employing strategic selling skills, and proactively creating sales opportunities. The position is at Aerogen, a global leader in acute care aerosol drug delivery, committed to innovation, patient care, and supporting employee growth within a culture of care and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for achieving sales revenue quota for Aerogen products within assigned territory.
  • Manage entire sales process which includes, but not limited to, gaining customer interest, providing quotations, collecting customer orders, managing shipment of product, customer implementation and training of clinical staff and distributors.
  • Drive and support Aerogen distributors.
  • Launch new products in combination with Marketing in territory.
  • Establish strong physician and clinician relationships.
  • Possess value-based and strategic selling skills.
  • Be innovative in creating new sales opportunities for Aerogen products.
  • Conduct peer to peer and promotional events in region.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a BA/BS Degree or Equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar commercial role within the medical device industry.
  • Ability to work within a team environment to achieve company goals.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to influence financial customers.
  • Critical strategic thinking and ability to shape medium and long-term business strategy.
  • Strong clinical acumen.
  • High energy and self-driven to achieve targets.
  • Strong territory management skills and proven ability to drive multiple opportunities.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage a complex sales process with clinical and financial customers.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of influencing skills.
  • Proficiency in desktop software applications such as MS Office, LMS, and CRM.
  • Ability to maintain core business hours with additional hours and weekends as needed, including travel.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with medical device sales and product launches.
  • Knowledge of aerosol drug delivery or respiratory care products.
  • Experience in strategic selling and peer-to-peer promotional events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
