The role of the Account Manager - Western US involves supporting regional and ADI teams in sales, marketing, and operations related to GM Accessories, with a focus on driving accessory sales, providing training, and supporting process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the regional Chevrolet, Buick/GMC, Cadillac, Fleet, Aftersales, and Operations teams in attaining monthly accessory sales objectives and act as SME (Regional Accessory Manager).
  • Work with Regional Sales and Aftersales teams to integrate GM Accessories marketing activities.
  • Provide metrics and recommendations to each Zone to identify opportunities for sales improvement and assist Zone Teams with implementing accessory business plans.
  • Work with regional management on promotions and accessory business strategies.
  • Assist GM Zone Teams as SME on accessory issues, selling processes, program implementation, and marketing strategies.
  • Support implementing LMA and individual dealership retail/wholesale marketing activities.
  • Provide accessory training to new hire “District Manager in Training” personnel.
  • Serve as an instructor for accessory Professional Development Days (PDD).
  • Provide standardized and ad-hoc reporting as needed.
  • Evaluate sales performance, processes, and personnel of ADIs to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate ADI sales processes and warehouse & distribution activities.
  • Develop and implement action plans to improve identified opportunity areas and monitor results.
  • Train ADI sales teams on product features, benefits, and competitive advantages for GM Accessories.
  • Help ADI sales teams acquire new dealers and establish effective accessories sales processes during vehicle sales.
  • Implement daily tasks related to supply chain, parts distribution, logistics, and messaging under direction.
  • Support special projects such as parts allocation, onboarding, and training.
  • Support Accessory Product Engineering, Divisional Accessory Managers, and accessory objectives.

Requirements

  • Experience in supporting sales, marketing, or operations teams, preferably within the automotive or accessory industry.
  • Ability to evaluate sales performance and processes.
  • Strong communication and training skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement action plans for sales improvement.
  • Experience with supply chain, logistics, or distribution activities is a plus.
  • Proficiency in providing reporting and metrics analysis.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and support multiple stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with ADIs or dealership networks.
  • Knowledge of GM Accessories or automotive sales processes.
  • Experience in training or instructional roles.
