About the Role

Comcast Advertising is driving the TV advertising industry forward, from delivering ads to linear and digital audiences to pioneering the tech that makes it possible. We help brands connect with their audiences on every screen using advanced data, technology, and premium video content. Our media sales division helps local, regional, and national brands reach potential customers through multiscreen TV advertising. Our ad tech division FreeWheel provides comprehensive adtech that makes it easier to buy and sell premium video advertising across all screens, data types, and sales channels. The Sales Development Advertising Strategist partners with Comcast Advertising Sales to determine strategies, value propositions, and solutions to meet client needs and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts proactive industry trend analysis for both one-on-one and one-to-many opportunities.
  • Collaborates with sales and leadership on market intelligence and point of view for Comcast Advertising.
  • Supports new business insights by working with Data Insights & Innovation and Business Development teams.
  • Oversees the kickoff and development of a client's initial campaign strategy, including discovery sessions and custom strategic presentations.
  • Speaks to multiple Centers of Excellence within the organization related to media strategy, creative, sponsorships, data, attribution, and audiences.
  • Identifies appropriate times to engage with Centers of Excellence such as Data Insights & Innovation and Promotional/Sponsorship Marketing.
  • Develops discovery questions to understand client audience goals and value propositions.
  • Participates in client-facing sales presentations and pitches, providing subject matter expertise and insights.
  • Evaluates previous campaigns and identifies upsell opportunities, overseeing reports and quarterly reviews.

Requirements

  • Experience in advertising strategies, market intelligence, and media strategies.
  • Ability to analyze industry trends and support new business insights.
  • Strong collaboration skills with sales, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in developing campaign strategies and conducting discovery sessions.
  • Excellent communication skills for client-facing presentations and internal collaboration.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data insights, innovation, and adtech solutions.
  • Knowledge of customer experience (CX) principles.
  • Familiarity with attribution reports and quarterly business reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or extensive related professional experience.
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in advertising, sales, or related fields.
