About the Role

As a member of the Solution Consulting team at ServiceNow, you will support the Core Business Services with a focus on the Public Sector, State and Local team. You will guide revenue for specific products by collaborating with Sales, Product Management, and the executive team. This role involves being a hands-on technical consultant capable of solution delivery and positioning during sales cycles, helping organizations work smarter, faster, and better through innovative AI-enhanced technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, position, and provide product-specific solutions during sales cycles while achieving quarterly and annual sales goals for an assigned territory.
  • Support product sales as a technical and domain expert within a client-facing sales team.
  • Lead discovery workshops to identify customer challenges and give product demonstrations to align solutions with customer needs.
  • Answer product feature and technical questions from customers, channel partners, and ServiceNow colleagues.
  • Provide feedback to product management about product enhancements that can address customer needs and add value.
  • Share and learn best practices and reusable assets with other Solution Consultants to improve team efficiency.
  • Stay current on competitive analysis and market differentiation.
  • Support marketing events including executive briefings, conferences, user groups, and trade shows.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of pre-sales solution consulting or sales engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with the ServiceNow platform or technical expertise with cloud software solutions.
  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
  • Territory management skills, including pipeline building and working with sales counterparts to guide execution.
  • Experience working collaboratively with product management, product marketing, partners, and professional services.
  • Travel as necessary.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with automating workflows and analyzing AI-driven insights.
  • Experience working in the public sector or with government-related clients.

Qualifications

  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
  • 7+ years of pre-sales solution consulting or sales engineering experience.
