Job Description

About the Role

The Commerce Analyst is the day-to-day steward of Commerce media for assigned brands, responsible for monitoring and maintaining campaign development, activation, and innovation. They develop and maintain strong knowledge of their client businesses and Commerce understanding to help deliver against their needs/objectives. They work closely with their Manager in the development and communication of all recommendations, and collaborate with client teams and partner agencies to create a seamless communication process. The role involves analyzing data, optimizing campaigns, and ensuring campaign success within a dynamic, inclusive environment at Spark Foundry, a global media agency under Publicis Groupe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze keyword, competitive, and level research necessary to build new campaigns
  • Responsible for gathering necessary data for plan development
  • Build keyword and product campaigns across retail programs
  • Present recommendations and incorporate client feedback to campaign proposals
  • Build flowcharts and load authorized buys in Prisma after campaign approval
  • Generate paperwork necessary for purchase authorization and ensure vendor counter signature is received
  • Traffick approved plans for retail partners
  • Perform quality assurance of all campaign components prior to launch
  • Monitor and maintain campaign budgets, pacing, and bid adjustments to hit client KPIs
  • Proactively advocate for campaign adjustments based on performance trends
  • Monitor campaign performance and competitor landscape
  • Develop and implement optimizations and testing plans
  • Pull and analyze data to inform campaign reporting and develop strategic insights
  • Build clear, concise, and cohesive quantitative analyses with strong data visualization
  • Participate in client status and reporting calls, including presenting reports
  • Maintain monthly billing cycle, including invoice tracking, buy actualization, and billing drafts
  • Resolve billing discrepancies in partnership with client strategy and billing teams
  • Learn relevant tools for reporting, analytics, and competitive analysis
  • Develop strong working relationships with client teams and partner agencies
  • Establish professional rapport with sales representatives and media vendors
  • Demonstrate creativity and agility in problem solving
  • Work closely with manager to establish priorities and manage workload
  • Ensure timely delivery of all work and successful completion of training and certifications

Requirements

  • Some Commerce/paid media experience preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in core MS Excel functions (vlookup, pivot tables) required
  • Knowledge of Amazon, Walmart, Target platforms is a plus
  • Experience with AMS platform, AAP platform, Criteo, and/or Google Ads is a plus
  • Familiarity with Amazon Retail Analytics (ARA), 3rd Party Digital Shelf Reporting (e.g., Clavis or EDGE), and tools like ComScore or Hitwise is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize projects
  • Ability to accurately perform media math principles
  • Demonstrates initiative and a collaborative attitude

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of additional platforms such as Criteo or Google Ads
  • Experience with Amazon Retail Analytics (ARA) and digital shelf reporting tools
  • Additional experience in digital media or analytics
