Job Description

About the Role

Carlyle seeks to hire a Product Specialist within AlpInvest's Investor Relations Team. The Analyst will work across AlpInvest's product lines including Secondary, Co-Investment, NAV Finance, and Primary Investments, supporting efforts in Institutional and Private Wealth channels. The role involves supporting senior team members, coordinating investor requests, serving as a segment expert, and interacting with existing limited partners and investors. The successful candidate must build expertise in key strategies, prioritize multiple projects, and work under pressure in a deadline-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and updating of marketing/fundraising materials, due diligence request responses/presentations, RFIs and RFPs
  • Support development of due diligence materials and legal documentation
  • Preparation of client portfolio review materials and investment plans
  • Handle on-going and ad hoc investor requests
  • Support in the development of new investment solutions
  • Maintenance of investor pipelines and diligence request trackers
  • CRM maintenance and use of various reporting platforms to obtain usable LP data
  • Assist with onsite investor meetings and conferences

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in analytical subject (e.g., Finance, Economics, Econometrics or Engineering) preferred, with good academic results
  • 1 - 3 years of relevant work/internship experience
  • Experience in investor relations or business development within financial services, investment banking, capital markets, asset management, management consulting, international law firm or comparable blue-chip companies
  • Fluency in English
  • Proficiency in any Asian language (e.g., Mandarin, Korean, Japanese) considered a strong plus
  • Ability to understand and evaluate both quantitative data and legal documents
  • Excellent computer skills, including ability to learn and become a subject matter expert in relevant systems
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial attitude with initiative
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (including Excel and PowerPoint)
  • CRM system experience including DealCloud is preferred
  • Ability to quickly develop competency in manipulating reporting platforms and systems

Nice to Have

  • Proficiency in any Asian language (e.g., Mandarin, Korean, Japanese)
