About the Role

The Area Manager Estes Park/Longmont is responsible for developing independent account business, focusing on overall profitability through new sales and account penetration. The role involves promoting and selling company-branded products, supporting customer service activities for regional and/or national chain customers, and increasing market visibility. The position supports the company's food distribution system and aims to maximize market share within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate additional business by analyzing sales territory and individual customers, sampling products, and planning sales strategies including territory management.
  • Grow sales and profit margins to meet established sales and margin goals.
  • Set up new customer accounts by determining pricing, working with the Credit Department for initial authorization, and coordinating order-taking and deliveries.
  • Perform follow-up with customers to ensure delivery and product satisfaction.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing exemplary service and coordinating efforts with other center personnel to resolve customer problems.
  • Build additional business with current customers through product penetration to maximize profitability.
  • Monitor accounts for compliance with credit terms and follow up on any receivable issues.
  • Maintain awareness of pricing trends within the sales territory, especially on market-driven and commodity products.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • 6-12 months sales, marketing, and/or restaurant experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.

  • Experience working in a restaurant environment.
