About the Role

The Area Manager - Staffing Sales & Operations is responsible for leading and delivering strong branch performance across multiple locations in the East Hartford, CT region. The role involves ensuring high-quality operational services for clients, building client relationships, meeting client requirements, and maintaining a strong talent pool. This position is heavily focused on sales and operations within a in-person, Monday through Friday schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and execute all recruitment activities necessary to ensure the availability of a strong talent pool to meet clients' needs across multiple branch locations.
  • Meet or exceed all recruitment metrics, as well as budget and gross margin goals for assigned sites or territories.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current clients and identify opportunities to increase market share at clients utilizing multiple staffing firms in different geographic areas.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment from sourcing to placement and retention, ensuring consistency in execution across all assigned locations.
  • Update and maintain the applicant database and all necessary documentation for each serviced site.
  • Partner with corporate departments such as Finance, P&C, Marketing, and Safety to improve performance at all covered branches.
  • Develop and implement an effective sales plan to meet or exceed established objectives, including weekly activity goals and required appointments across multiple locations.
  • Conduct appropriate prospecting and screening activities to identify qualified clients for new business development within your designated region.
  • Use consultative sales strategies to overcome client objections and maximize sales activity throughout assigned sites.
  • Establish and maintain strong public relations and community networking efforts across all supported areas to develop new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to develop and deliver compelling sales presentation materials tailored to each location.
  • Conduct formal sales presentations and follow-up calls to prospective accounts in multiple markets.
  • Interface with field management to establish pricing for quotes and bids that align with the company's financial goals and regional market conditions.
  • Document all sales activity accurately and consistently in Salesforce.com.
  • Maintain awareness of competition (market share, pricing, services, etc.) across your assigned region.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of staffing experience with increasing responsibilities.
  • Strong relationship building, leadership, and communication skills.
  • High level of responsiveness and engagement.
  • Team oriented and willingness to help.
  • Highly resourceful with the ability to prioritize and multitask with limited direction.
  • Strong technology and social media skills.
  • Strong planning, time management and analytical skills.
  • Ability to same day travel.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM tools.
  • Experience in developing and delivering sales presentations.
  • Knowledge of regional market conditions and pricing strategies.
