About the Role

The AS Product Manager role at Armstrong involves working with cross-functional teams through the final stages of new product development, launch, and post-launch review. The position reports to the Director of AS Product Management and focuses on developing marketing strategies, sales materials, and product positioning to meet business objectives. Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the central marketing and product development teams through the final stages of the new product development process, launch and post-launch review of new products.
  • Develop product marketing briefs and collaborate with the marketing organization to deliver sales materials and tactics for successful product introductions.
  • Serve as the primary contact with the Field Sales Team to provide new product sales support and work with business leadership to develop and maintain strategic product plans.
  • Create and maintain metric reports on marketing and sales activities, effectiveness, and business impact.
  • Develop training materials for the Sales Team, CFC, AS Operations, and distributors to help them position and sell products effectively.
  • Provide directions to the Marketing Communication Team on ongoing promotion and positioning of products, reviewing metrics for success and adjusting tactics as needed.
  • Manage product strategy, pre-acquisition due diligence, and ownership of 90-day Marketing Integration plans for mergers and acquisitions, coordinating with marketing and sales teams.
  • Analyze the product line and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for ROI maximization through new, dropped, or repositioned products.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of long-range and operational planning techniques.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Ability to operate as a matrix manager, coordinating resources across multiple areas.
  • Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills and financial acumen.
  • Strong presentation skills (oral and written), analytical skills, and creativity.
  • Experience with social media, BIM, web, virtual events is helpful but not required.
  • Product and promotion, marketing background preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or design/technical.
  • 3-5 years of experience in product management, marketing, product design environment, or product development.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in architectural specification for commercial construction.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions and brand integration.

  • Additional relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
