The Assistant Manager, Brand Marketing - Collaborations and Special Projects is a hands-on, creative, and strategic integrated marketing role that supports in the pitching, campaign creation, strategic development, and execution of marketing plans for all Gap collaborations and special projects. This role involves supporting go-to-market decks, collab pitches, competitive research, managing marketing briefs, administrative tasks, and internal communication throughout collaboration processes, thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the omnichannel development and execution of marketing in partnership with the Senior Manager.
  • Developing creative briefs and partnering with brand creative teams on the development of marketing assets across multiple platforms; maintaining oversight to ensure creative is on-strategy and on-brand.
  • Creating inspiring marketing briefs that combine a customer-first mindset with business priorities and a clear product point-of-view, leveraging inputs from various teams.
  • Owning marketing/messaging calendar across marketing channels and supporting the brand calendar's content plan to drive engagement and business performance.
  • Updating Go to Market plans regularly.
  • Building partnerships with brand stakeholders and working closely with visual merchandising, online experience, styling, and photo planning teams.
  • Supporting campaign performance reporting by pulling data for metrics and insights.
  • Managing small projects and creating project plans/structures.
  • Managing day-to-day merchant, markets, and partner communications for campaigns to ensure cohesive global execution.
  • Adjusting strategies and content in-season as needed, collaborating with partners to ensure seamless customer experience.
  • Seeking innovative ways of reaching customers through engaging stories and content.
  • Participating in all marketing shoots pipeline and in-season activities, including content planning, content production, creative reviews, and final approvals.
  • Partnering closely with the Social Media team to plan all content needed for the season.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in consumer marketing; content marketing experience required.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and strong collaboration abilities.
  • Outstanding organization and communication skills (verbal, presentation, written) with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to support a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Bring a positive can-do attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to glean insights and tell stories from data.
  • Proven ability to translate product stories into compelling marketing messages; a natural storyteller.
  • Self-starter with curiosity and eagerness to test and learn.
  • Social media savvy with a social media first mindset.
  • High energy level and ability to thrive in a changeable environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including creative, analytics, and merchandising.
  • Knowledge of marketing tools and platforms.

  • Relevant professional experience in marketing (2-5 years).
