Associate Director, Marketing Insights, Psychiatry

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Independently lead Business Insights planning, implementation, communication of results, and alignment of brand strategies and plans.
• Manage all aspects of Business Insights including initiation of RFP process, vendor selection, study design, contract execution, and budget management.
• Lead project planning activities such as coordination, setting timelines, gaining cross-functional team alignment, shaping conclusions and recommendations, and presenting results to Brand Teams, Senior Management, and Vendors.
• Support Global Psychiatry Pipeline Assets across multiple disease states including Major Depression Disorder, Bipolar Depression, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
• Guide brand strategy and advise on key initiatives based on data and analytics capabilities.
• Enable and demonstrate leadership on cross-functional teams to make rapid, informed business decisions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams and key affiliates to co-create and execute plans.
• Identify analytics opportunities to ensure decision-making is based on current, objective insights.
• Contribute to the brand planning process by analyzing market drivers, patient journeys, competition, and positioning.
• Incorporate competitive intelligence to anticipate competitor strategies and support market leadership.
• Provide insights on current market dynamics and future evolution to guide clinical programs and launch strategies.
• Lead initiatives to improve data and analytics capabilities within APEX.
• Ensure all activities are conducted on time, within budget, and in compliance with financial and ethical guidelines.

Requirements

• BA or BS degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MA, MS) preferred, with a focus on marketing research, marketing, or social sciences.
• Psychiatry experience preferred.
• Statistical knowledge is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a marketing analytics function, or 8 years with a PhD or Masters.
• Strong knowledge of key data sources and analytics approaches at global and country levels.
• Experience developing and executing global analytics and research plans.
• Experience analyzing quantitative and secondary data sets.
• Excellent strategic thinking, story-telling, and thought leadership skills.
• Analytical reasoning, business acumen, and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Experience influencing cross-functional, global, and affiliate teams.
• Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
• Ability to adapt to changing business conditions and foster collaboration.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
• Experience with market research tools and analytics software.
• Knowledge of the psychiatric therapeutic area.

Qualifications

• Educational background as specified in requirements (BA/BS, advanced degree preferred).
