About the Role

The Associate Director of Creator Marketing at Verizon is responsible for building, developing, and executing an industry-leading creator/influencer approach to enhance Verizon's marketing and content strategy. This role involves transforming Verizon's marketing approach by putting creators at the center of the brand's content ecosystem, developing long-term creator relationships, and demonstrating the effectiveness of creator programs to drive brand and business results. The position offers a unique opportunity to lead a new discipline within a major brand and to influence Verizon's marketing transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define Verizon's overall influencer marketing strategy and establish core principles, systems, workflows, and practices for industry-leading creator partnerships and campaigns.
  • Partner with Verizon teams, influencer agencies, and creators to develop innovative creative concepts that achieve brand and business objectives.
  • Develop strategy and operational processes to ensure creator content fuels Verizon's holistic content ecosystem across paid, owned, and ATL channels.
  • Lead a team of Creator Strategists and manage hundreds of influencer marketing campaigns aligned with campaign goals and target audiences.
  • Collaborate with brand social, marketing activation, media, and analytics teams to integrate influencer strategies into larger omnichannel campaigns.
  • Build and maintain relationships with cross-functional leaders to ensure alignment on influencer/creator marketing efforts.
  • Oversee relationships with Verizon's influencer agency-of-record to push creative and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop measurement approaches with agencies and internal teams to track, analyze, and report social and influencer KPIs, turning data into insights for optimization.
  • Allocate resources effectively across team members and agency partners to maximize ROI and ensure consistent execution.
  • Educate and inspire Verizon's marketing organization on the latest trends, creator perspectives, and competitive intelligence to increase marketing fluency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Eight or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work, military experience, or specialized training.
  • Direct experience in influencer marketing at a creative/creator/social agency, client, platform, or talent agency.
  • Experience building or transforming a creator/influencer marketing practice from the ground up.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise in the influencer marketing tech stack and key software tools.
  • Strong knowledge of affiliate marketing and connecting brands with creators to drive sales.
  • Proven success managing social/digital campaigns across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitter.
  • Ability to craft strategic POVs on industry topics and communicate them clearly.
  • Sound business ethics and confidence in front of audiences.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

  • Experience with building and managing social marketing programs for blue-chip brands.
  • Experience in social media judgment and content optimization for engagement.
  • Knowledge of industry-related trends and ability to deliver strategic insights.

Qualifications

  • Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in influencer marketing or related fields.
