This role will focus on crafting compelling product narratives and content strategies that resonate with target audiences in the evolving private equity and alternative investment landscape. As part of the broader commercial organization, Marketing is responsible for aligning product marketing activities—including product launches, content creation, go-to-market strategies, and client education—with specific commercial outcomes. This role is crucial in positioning S&P DJI as a leader in the private markets space, leveraging essential data, research, and insights. The individual will collaborate closely with product management, sales, and other marketing teams to ensure alignment and execution of product marketing strategies that drive revenue and market share.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead product marketing initiatives and content creation efforts that connect marketing activities to specific commercial outcomes.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive content marketing strategy that highlights S&P DJI's private market products.
  • Create high-quality content, including blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, webinars, and educational materials that effectively communicate product features, benefits, and market insights.
  • Develop and refine the positioning and messaging for S&P DJI's private market products.
  • Craft compelling narratives that highlight the unique value propositions and benefits to various audiences, including institutional investors, private equity firms, and financial advisors.
  • Lead the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for new product launches and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful rollout and market penetration of private market offerings.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
  • Utilize insights to inform product development and marketing strategies, ensuring S&P DJI's offerings remain relevant and competitive.
  • Engage with key partners and clients to promote awareness and adoption of private market products.
  • Develop tailored marketing strategies to nurture relationships and drive product usage.
  • Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the success of content marketing and product marketing initiatives.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis to internal stakeholders to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience in content/product marketing within financial services, with a strong focus on private markets preferred.
  • Proven expertise in content marketing and content creation, with a portfolio of successful campaigns and materials that demonstrate effective messaging and audience engagement.
  • In-depth understanding of private equity, alternative investments, and the product development lifecycle.
  • Proven track record of developing successful product marketing strategies and campaigns that drive measurable results.
  • Bachelor's degree (Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred).
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with product launches, go-to-market strategies, and account-based marketing in the private markets or financial services space.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing channels and tactics, including social media, content marketing, and email campaigns.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in market research and competitive analysis to inform product positioning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred).
