Associate Director, Regional Marketing - Oncology Portfolio - Eastern USA is a key role supporting Bayer’s Oncology targeted/precision therapies by engaging with Thought Leaders, executing regional meetings, and supporting brand success in the Eastern US territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with Oncology Thought Leaders (TLs) in NSCLC through various channels to foster positive product perception and strong relationships.
  • Collaborate with the local team to identify and recommend emerging TLs influencing peer networks, institutional decisions, and scientific advancements.
  • Develop deep clinical expertise to effectively challenge and advance TL thinking, utilizing knowledge of data, brand strategy, messaging therapy, and competitive landscape.
  • Work with the Area General Manager to track TL sentiment and develop strategies to motivate TLs to champion Bayer Oncology targeted/precision therapies.
  • Plan and execute Bayer's presence at regional NSCLC conferences, ensuring effective internal alignment and training of local staff.
  • Support national conference planning, collaborating with the brand team to enhance content and exhibit design.
  • Lead TL meetings and support executive encounters at congresses and industry events.
  • Attend educational sessions to enhance clinical expertise and share insights with sales and brand teams.
  • Oversee peer-to-peer (P2P) marketing initiatives, including national broadcasts and third-party speaker programs.
  • Support field teams with TL recommendations for local speaker programs.
  • Manage speaker bureau activities, including training and utilization tracking.
  • Gather insights during program execution to refine and enhance speaker programs.
  • Drive local and national marketing projects aligned with brand strategy, tailoring materials and digital solutions to meet local needs.
  • Consolidate and share customer insights with sales and internal partners to support brand strategy.
  • Lead advisory boards in collaboration with the Brand Lead and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with local teams to optimize engagement opportunities, including sponsorships and events.
  • Share knowledge on systems and processes to strengthen TL relationships across customer types.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • 5-7 years of experience in the pharma/biotech industry, including at least 2 years in customer-facing roles.
  • 2 years of experience in Oncology, preferably in targeted / precision therapies.
  • Proven track record in strategic business development and project management.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Proactive, results-oriented self-starter.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in a life-science field.
  • Experience in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC).
  • Prior marketing or leadership experience in sales training, sales management, or market access.
  • Established relationships with academic institutions and key accounts.

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary range of $150,930.00 to $226,396.00.
  • Additional compensation may include bonuses or commissions.
