About the Role

The Associate Manager, Commercial Brand Development role is part of SC Johnson's Lifestyle Brands division, based in San Francisco. The division includes brands like Method®, Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day®, Babyganics®, and Ecover®, and focuses on delivering transformative growth with a positive impact for people and the planet. The position involves setting strategy and driving business results for Mrs. Meyer’s across multiple categories in Home Care Cleaning and Personal Care, working closely with various departments and leveraging data and market insights. It offers a blend of general management and brand marketing responsibilities within a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help develop and execute the annual business plans and strategies by conducting competitive market analyses, identifying key opportunity areas to drive growth, and anticipating and tackling challenges through creative solutions.
  • Take charge of the business by analyzing syndicated data (Nielsen), internal shipment data, market research, and other sources to monitor performance and make actionable business recommendations.
  • Contribute to effective management of the P&L to grow both sales and profit.
  • Partner with the Customer Development team to create compelling retailer selling stories for Innovation.
  • Lead commercialization efforts across a variety of consumer touch points including product, communications, and e-commerce.
  • Work with research partners and Consumer Insights to synthesize and act on market trends and consumer data to evolve product positioning and build new item launch plans.
  • Partner with Brand Experience and Brand Strategy teams to understand and analyze marketing metrics and build effective marketing support plans.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing/brand management at a consumer products company and a Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship.
  • Strong initiative and demonstrated leadership across functions and levels.
  • A fast-paced multi-tasking expert with strong cross-functional project management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic instinct.
  • High energy and passion for driving responsible business growth.
  • Outstanding communication skills - oral and written.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting syndicated data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in a relevant field.
