The Boeing Company's 787 Airframe Engineering group is seeking a Project Management Specialist to support the 787 Airframe Fuselage Engineering Team in North Charleston, SC. This role involves supporting project tasks, managing schedules, and facilitating engineering review meetings within an innovative and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs project tasks that meet identified requirements by application of, or in accordance with, accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, PMBOK, ANSI, ISO).
  • Provides reports, project status and change information to project team per established processes and communicates plan changes and recovery plans to others.
  • Uses negotiating skills by engaging with organizational and project task owners to improve project performance commitments.
  • Responsible for the development and update of task-specific plans, deliverables, and schedules.
  • Responsible for facilitating engineering review board meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Experience in a role requiring project / program management skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Experience interacting with business partners and customers.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in an aircraft production environment.
  • Experience in aircraft certification, configuration management, and/or change management.
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent.
