Project Manager II

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as project leader of standing agile teams working across the Data organization to plan, coordinate, and execute value delivery of various business and technical initiatives; manage dependencies across teams for successful delivery of cross-team initiatives.
• Manage planning, estimation, and delivery of analytic and technology projects using practices outlined by the ISO Data operations management team.
• Drive technology initiative planning and estimation, track key milestones and deliverables, and communicate effectively with stakeholders including business partners and technology teams.
• Work closely with product owners to ensure shared understanding of deliverables' scope and maintain a healthy, prioritized product backlog through collaboration with business partners.
• Lead and oversee data release planning, ensuring smooth collaboration, communication, and execution of UAT and Production deployments.
• Manage, plan for, and mitigate project risks; track resolutions to critical issues or escalate when necessary.
• Ensure data operations standards, tools, and best practices are implemented, including status reporting, KPIs, operational processes, and team-level budgeting.
• Coordinate with project and portfolio management colleagues to manage development timelines, risks, and issues across the organization for successful delivery of value.

Requirements

• A working knowledge of Agile Project Life Cycles (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Confluence, Jira).
• Ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and lead efforts to resolve them.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to influence and resolve conflicts.
• Familiarity with basic development technologies and skills.
• Ability to negotiate regarding time management and deliverables.
• PMP or Prince2 certification.
• Preferably Scrum or SAFe certification.
• 7-10 years of proven experience in the software development industry.
• 4-6 years of proven experience serving as Project Manager or ScrumMaster for Software Development Teams.
• Experience working as a productive member of an agile project team.
• Ability to recognize obstacles as they impede team progress and address them effectively.
• Understanding of Project Management concepts.
• Experience in identifying and managing risks and opportunities within projects.

Nice to Have

• Scrum or SAFe certification (preferred).

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of proven experience in the software development industry.
• 4-6 years of proven experience serving as Project Manager or ScrumMaster for Software Development Teams.
• PMP or Prince2 certification.
