About the Role

We are seeking an Associate Product Manager to help manage our core and advanced connectivity services portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of Telecom managed services and providers, an understanding of the telecommunications marketplace and a curiosity for the industry's future. This role will assist the Senior Product Managers in evolving connectivity product lines and work with our team on design, pricing, and packaging services to drive higher product attachment rates. Additionally, they will work with Product Management, Sales and Marketing on a go-to market plan which meets rate and revenue objectives. The ideal candidate possesses business and technical acumen along with technical and sales experience. This role must communicate to all levels in the company and define product positioning, key benefits and ideal customer profiles.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the product line life cycle and ensure product profitability for core and advanced connectivity services.
Work to become the Subject Matter Expert on FirstLight's service capabilities, planned enhancements, positioning in the marketplace and current availability.
Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market and competitive research supported by on-going visits to customers and prospects.
Contribute to business cases to support new features/enhancements including costs and projected revenue for new services and enhancements.
Contribute to developing and maintaining product pricing.
Analyze the competitive landscape and identify gaps and opportunities within the FirstLight service offering.
Contribute to internal and external sales and customer product training.
Travel to customer meetings as well as attend industry and company events.
Perform any other projects assigned by management.

Requirements

1-3 years of experience in a product or technical sales role.
Experience in technological areas such as telecommunications, IP Networking, Local and Wide-area networking, with some exposure to advanced network services.
Strong presentation skills and comfort presenting to all levels within an organization including C-level management.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook).
Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have

B.S or B.A in a technical or business field.
Solid understanding of the competitive telecoms, ISP or MSP landscape.
Working knowledge of Salesforce.
Experience in building business models.
