About the Role

The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Acquisition Marketing at Humana is a strategic leadership role within the marketing organization, responsible for advancing direct response marketing across insurance brands and product portfolios. The role involves shaping a visionary and detail-oriented marketing strategy to differentiate Humana in a highly competitive healthcare marketplace, leveraging consumer insights, multichannel campaigns, and cross-functional collaboration to drive profitable growth and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the enterprise acquisition go-to-market strategy for the Insurance business segment portfolio of brands and products.
  • Leverage customer segmentation and targeting to focus acquisition efforts on the most profitable growth strategies.
  • Support efforts to build awareness and consideration of enterprise brands, including developing call-to-action messaging that demonstrates proof points of differentiation.
  • Partner with Brand, Product, and Portfolio Management teams on integrated strategies for Medicare sales seasons (AEP, OEP, SEP).
  • Develop customer-first journeys to deliver the right message at the right time and place, enhancing customer value at every touchpoint.
  • Own the direct marketing test and learn agenda to optimize marketing effectiveness and efficiency across media channels.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business segment and customer dynamics, performance goals, and priorities.
  • Help define and promote how brand and product communications work together to drive growth and customer loyalty.
  • Work with marketing partners and agencies to ensure consistency, on-brand creative, and standard methodologies across all channels and campaigns.
  • Motivate and lead high-performing teams to meet business and customer objectives.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree in business is highly desirable.
  • 10-15+ years of responsible experience in acquisition marketing strategy for a large brand.
  • Proven track record of leading sizable, diverse teams and managing large budgets.
  • Deep understanding of data-driven insights to inform marketing strategy and decision-making.
  • Extensive multichannel marketing experience with digital and social media expertise.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Journey Optimizer).
  • Ability to develop and optimize integrated campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Comfort operating in a regulated industry and managing large budgets or P&L.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in financial services or healthcare marketing is a plus.
