The role involves leading brand and industry marketing strategy for CVS Media Exchange (CMX), building brand awareness, developing marketing campaigns, and driving business results through innovative, multi-channel marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team focused on defining and building the CMX brand, positioning it internally and externally, and creating long-term brand equity.
  • Inspire innovative brand marketing, communications, and storytelling across all touchpoints and industry activations.
  • Develop the annual marketing and editorial calendar supported by campaigns to drive advertiser acquisition and retention.
  • Implement a lead management process for the Partner Management Team.
  • Own the CMX brand strategy, architecture, content calendar, and narrative across all touchpoints.
  • Drive the development and strategy for the marketing plan and annual activation calendar, including messaging, industry events, speaking engagements, and sales enablement.
  • Define and activate the owned and earned content calendar across channels such as the CMX site, LinkedIn, and eNewsletter, in partnership with CVS Health Corporate Communications and external PR agencies.
  • Partner with Consumer Insights to understand advertisers and communication opportunities through brand tracker surveys.
  • Develop and manage the annual marketing budget, analyze spending, and ensure cost-effectiveness and ROI.
  • Lead and mentor a team of marketers, prioritizing activities aligned with strategic goals and fostering a culture of growth and empowerment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of marketing strategy experience with a strong foundation in retail or commerce media, B2B consumer product goods, pharma, or media agency experience.
  • 6+ years of cross-functional leadership experience.
  • 4+ years of brand marketing or commerce agency/strategy experience.
  • 4+ years of digital marketing experience, including testing and validating emerging opportunities, with emphasis on B2B content.
  • 2+ years of brand or category management experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience with relevant marketing technology and channels, including marketing enablement and lead management.
  • Strong understanding of retail/commerce media landscape and market positioning.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed organization and collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Self-motivated, high-capacity individual capable of functioning in a demanding environment.

  • Proven B2B storyteller skilled at distilling complex concepts into compelling content.
  • Editorial mindset capable of managing a flexible B2B content and event calendar responsive to market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across organizational boundaries.
  • Experience with marketing technology, lead generation, and management tools.
  • Ability to make fact-based decisions balancing analytics and personal experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field, or equivalent (HS Diploma + 4 years experience).
  • MBA preferred.
