The role involves leading brand and industry marketing strategies for CVS Media Exchange (CMX), driving brand development, campaign execution, industry activations, and demand generation to create differentiation and long-term brand equity in a fast-growing, cluttered industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team focused on defining and building the CMX brand, positioning it internally and externally, and creating long-term brand equity.
  • Inspire innovative brand marketing, communications, and storytelling across all touchpoints and industry activations.
  • Develop the annual marketing and editorial calendar supported by campaigns to drive advertiser acquisition and retention.
  • Implement a lead management process for the Partner Management Team.
  • Own the CMX brand strategy, architecture, content calendar, and narrative across all channels.
  • Drive the development and strategy for the marketing plan, including messaging, industry events, speaking engagements, and sales enablement.
  • Define and activate the owned and earned content calendar across channels such as the CMX site, LinkedIn, and eNewsletter, in partnership with CVS Health Corporate Communications and external PR agencies.
  • Partner with Consumer Insights to understand advertiser needs and opportunities through brand tracker surveys.
  • Develop and manage the annual marketing budget, analyzing spending for cost-effectiveness and ROI.
  • Lead and mentor a team of marketers, fostering a culture of inspiration, growth, and empowerment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of marketing strategy experience with a strong foundation in retail or commerce media, B2B consumer product goods, pharma, or media agency experience.
  • 6+ years of cross-functional leadership experience.
  • 4+ years of brand marketing or commerce agency/strategy experience.
  • 4+ years of digital marketing experience, including testing and validating emerging opportunities with emphasis on B2B content.
  • 2+ years of brand or category management experience is a plus.
  • Strong retail/commerce media acumen and understanding of the market landscape.
  • Proven ability to craft compelling B2B storytelling and manage flexible content and event calendars.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization and collaborating with internal and external partners.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field; MBA preferred.

  • Experience with marketing technology, lead generation, and management tools.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to incorporate new learnings into plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field, or equivalent (HS Diploma + 4 years experience).
  • MBA preferred.
