About the Role

The B2B Brand and Industry Marketing Director at CVS Media Exchange (CMX) is responsible for leading brand strategy, positioning, and marketing initiatives to drive long-term brand equity and business results. This role involves managing a small but impactful team, developing marketing plans, and collaborating with internal and external partners to enhance the CMX brand within a fast-paced, data-driven environment at CVS Health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team focused on defining and building the CMX brand, including internal and external positioning and brand storytelling.
  • Develop and execute the annual marketing and editorial calendar supported by campaigns to acquire and retain advertisers.
  • Implement a lead management process for the Partner Management Team.
  • Own the CMX brand strategy, architecture, content calendar, and narrative across all touchpoints.
  • Drive the development and strategy for marketing plans, including messaging, industry events, speaking engagements, and sales enablement.
  • Manage the owned and earned content calendar across channels such as the CMX site, LinkedIn, and eNewsletter, in partnership with CVS Health Corporate Communications and external PR agencies.
  • Partner with Consumer Insights to understand advertiser needs and opportunities through semi-annual brand tracker surveys.
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget, analyze spending, and ensure cost-effectiveness and ROI.
  • Lead and mentor a marketing team, fostering a culture of growth, inspiration, and empowerment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of marketing strategy experience with a strong foundation in retail or commerce media, B2B consumer products, pharma, or media agencies.
  • 6+ years of cross-functional leadership experience.
  • 4+ years of brand marketing or commerce agency/strategy experience.
  • 4+ years of digital marketing experience, including testing and validating emerging opportunities with an emphasis on B2B content.
  • 2+ years of brand or category management experience is a plus.
  • Strong retail/commerce media acumen and understanding of the market landscape.
  • Proven ability to craft compelling B2B storytelling and manage a flexible content and event calendar.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization and collaborating with internal and external partners.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field; MBA preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent (HS Diploma + 4 years experience).
  • MBA preferred.
