About the Role

BlackRock is one of the world's largest and most prominent investment management firms, managing trillions of dollars in assets for institutions, governments, and individuals worldwide. The BlackRock Investment Institute (BII) leverages the firm's expertise and generates proprietary research to provide insights on long-term asset allocation, the global economy, markets, sustainable investing and geopolitics - all to help clients and portfolio managers navigate financial markets. The role is based in New York and involves innovating and maintaining BII's digital properties and tools, developing strategies for digital impact, and working closely with media and client engagement teams to enhance BII's digital footprint.

Key Responsibilities

Improving and innovating BII's digital footprint and impact, tied into how content is presented on social media
Developing a strategy for BII's digital impact considering changes in digital behavior and the rise of LLMs
Tracking and monitoring digital and media performance metrics
Designing and updating internal tools for sharing content with client-facing teams
Collaborating with Marketing to incorporate best practices on BII's digital sites
Coordinating with BII's commercial lead to leverage digital properties for commercial impact
Working with the BII comms lead to monitor BII mentions and track media impact
Assisting with team writing, including preparing talking points for spokespeople

Requirements

Knowledge of and passion for economics and global financial markets
Superb digital skills and ability to respond to changing digital trends
Self-starter with creativity, team spirit, versatility, and persistence
Ability to work quickly, meet deadlines, and go the extra mile
Intense attention to accuracy, detail, and consistency
Strong intellectual curiosity
Excellent organizational and representational skills
Work experience of at least three years in digital-focused journalism

Nice to Have

Experience working in a financial or economic environment
Familiarity with social media strategies and digital analytics tools
Experience with internal content sharing tools
