Key Responsibilities

  • Apply curiosity and understanding of the market, target audiences, and IBM offerings to develop compelling brand, messaging and content strategies that deliver the right content, at the right time, to the right audiences to drive the right outcomes throughout the funnel.
  • Orchestrate a true brand-to-demand journey for our offerings, collaborating with discipline stakeholders ranging from media partners to digital strategists to field marketers and salespeople to bring our offerings to life vividly at each stage of the audience's journey.
  • Partner closely with a diverse team of brand and content strategists to ensure consistent, cohesive journeys and experiences.
  • Use creativity and courage to take calculated risks, proposing and executing bold, differentiated content experiences that convey the value of our key offerings.
  • Work in an agile environment with a closely knit squad to make quick evidence-based decisions and drive consensus.
  • Partner closely with internal and external creative partners, applying creativity, resourcefulness and efficiency to produce breakthrough product content that goes beyond typical formats such as white papers and demos.
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset by continually testing, measuring, and optimizing strategies to ensure the best outcomes and experiences for our audiences.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in a marketing, brand and/or content strategy role with progressive levels of leadership responsibility.
  • Understanding of optimal multi-channel approach along the entire customer journey, including social, digital, media, field and sales.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing ability to conceive, execute, and optimize breakthrough content strategies.
  • Experience building relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders, both internally and externally (executives, clients, agencies, business partners).
  • Strategic planning and presentation skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset to identify opportunities, test potential solutions and synthesize insights into recommendations for messaging, brand and content strategy.
  • Experience working in a global team, ideally with visibility across multiple geographies.
  • Experience developing product messaging or product-focused content.
  • Growth mindset with an appetite to experiment and fail fast in the spirit of ongoing learning and improvement.
