Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the demographics, psychographics, occasions, path to purchase and behavioral drivers of the brand's consumer through data and research
  • Understand, validate and/or develop the consumer's hidden universal truths to drive relevant innovation and renovation plans
  • Analyze data and synthesize learning into insights to optimize plan and commercial investment decisions to deliver business results
  • Leverage data and trends to generate insights and transform them into marketing innovation, brand building and retail programs
  • Own P&L to ensure that key business KPIs such as revenue, profit, market share, and brand health are met
  • Lead the monthly operating process to deliver business performance and ensure accurate forecasting to mitigate supply challenges and demand fluctuations
  • Project end-to-end impact of business plans and prepare cross-functional teams to deliver (procurement, T&P, supply, etc.)
  • Develop strategic revenue management strategies including pricing, promotions, and price pack architecture (PPA)
  • Support manufacturing and distribution capabilities, long-term sourcing, and procurement strategy
  • Use data-driven decision-making to chart a strategic course for the brand, incorporating new approaches like licensing and strategic partnerships
  • Ensure the cultural relevance of the brand's identity, activations, and packaging across all touchpoints
  • Evaluate share, sales, and profit for the brand
  • Lead packaging changes due to product, graphic, or formula updates
  • Support innovation pipeline development based on consumer, shopper, and marketplace data
  • Lead innovation projects in collaboration with cross-functional and external experts
  • Partner with Sales and Customers to execute strategy and maximize retail success
  • Analyze promotional programs for effectiveness and recommend improvements
  • Translate 3-year strategic plans into annual commercial plans to drive sales and marketing tactics
  • Lead the development and execution of annual marketing plans covering product, price, place, and promotion
  • Motivate and inspire team members and cross-functional teams to exceed performance targets
  • Provide regular feedback, develop training plans, and participate in talent recruitment to promote diversity

Requirements

  • Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) in Marketing or related business field, or equivalent experience
  • MBA preferred
  • Knowledge of budget control methods, policies and procedures
  • Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
  • Strong research and strategic analysis skills
  • Ability to work independently, autonomously and adapt quickly to change
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic financial acumen and understanding of risk/return on business decisions
  • Ability to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • At least 5 years of work experience in marketing or brand management
  • Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams and agency partners
  • Experience leveraging data, research, and trends to generate insights (IRI or Nielsen knowledge recommended)
  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities and creative problem-solving skills
