About the Role

The Brand Director, Bruce Hardwood, is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and executing the overall brand strategy of the Bruce brand. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this position requires a strategic thinker and doer with a deep understanding of branding, marketing, and consumer behavior targeting the Pro's and DIY market. The role involves driving brand growth, enhancing brand equity, ensuring brand consistency, creating content, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver on the brand's objectives. Occasional travel is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Define and refine the brand's unique value proposition to resonate with the target audience and distinguish the brand from competitors.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the brand's visual and verbal identity, including logos, color schemes, messaging, and tone of voice.
  • Lead the creation of integrated marketing plans and campaigns to communicate the brand's message and drive awareness and engagement.
  • Research and identify key audiences and attributes for effective targeting in marketing efforts.
  • Build a connections framework for target audiences to nurture consumer demand and conversion.
  • Monitor and manage brand equity, track brand health metrics, and implement strategies to enhance perception and loyalty.
  • Identify product category line extensions, collaborate on business plans and negotiations with suppliers/partners, and lead product launches.
  • Develop content strategies, identify influencers and media opportunities.
  • Lead marketing specialists, web creators, graphics teams, and external agencies in campaign implementation.
  • Collaborate with departments such as product development, sales, and customer service to ensure alignment with the brand strategy.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, consumer preferences, and the competitive landscape.
  • Develop and manage the brand budget, allocating resources effectively.
  • Establish and track KPIs to measure branding success and inform decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience of 7+ years in brand management with a successful track record of developing and executing brand strategies.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Deep understanding of branding, marketing, and consumer behavior targeting the Pro's and DIY market.
  • Ability to create content and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in developing integrated marketing campaigns and managing brand identity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in brand management
