About the Role

LaSalle Network has partnered with a leading brand in the beauty industry in their search for a Director of Brand Marketing. Our client is seeking a commercially driven Brand Director to lead the global brand strategy and accelerate profitable growth across mass, specialty, and omni-channel retail. This person must have experience with trade marketing, P&L ownership, using Nielsen/ POS analytics to build the brand story, and new product development & innovation. This is the perfect role for someone who has experience working in nimble and entrepreneurial environments, who thrives working both independently and cross-functionally across departments (including supply chain, innovation, product marketing, creative, and more) to bring big ideas to life. Onsite in NYC (2-3 days a week).

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive brand portfolio strategy, innovation pipeline, and go-to-market execution.
  • Analyze Nielsen and POS data to uncover insights and guide decision-making.
  • Lead trade marketing efforts to support sell-through and brand performance at retail.
  • Build cross-functional launch toolkits and support sales in retailer programming.
  • Manage brand P&L inputs and track performance to optimize ROI and margin.
  • Inspire and lead a high-performing team; partner across Product Development, Sales, Planning, Creative, and Consumer Engagement.
  • Build engaging presentations and present on key insights to key stakeholders to drive influence and marketing strategies.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in brand marketing; 3+ years working in beauty, lifestyle, or similar industry.
  • Experience working previously in trade marketing or new product development/ innovation.
  • Proven experience managing brand P&L and executing trade marketing strategies.
  • Strong fluency in syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, etc.) and consumer insights.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, lean environment with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent leadership, presentation, and strategic thinking skills.
  • 4+ years of direct management experience.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in brand marketing.
  • 3+ years in beauty, lifestyle, or similar industry.
  • Experience with trade marketing or new product development/innovation.
  • Experience managing brand P&L.
