About the Role

The role involves helping to grow Waymo's brand and build societal acceptance for autonomous driving technology through strategic marketing, messaging, and go-to-market initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the brand marketing strategy for new market launches and ongoing brand-building efforts, collaborating closely with cross-functional partners across marketing, policy, communications, product, business development, and operations.
  • Own the end-to-end development of brand marketing campaigns, from initial concept to final execution, to enhance brand reputation and consumer trust.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Policy and Communications teams to develop brand advocacy campaigns that invoke community support in new markets.
  • Maintain high brand marketing and creative standards when working with partners on co-branded initiatives.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional launch planning, ensuring seamless execution across marketing, policy, communications, product, business development, and operations.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in brand marketing, brand strategy, or a related field in-house or at an agency.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing brand marketing strategies for regional or national market launches.
  • Demonstrated experience in growing a brand's footprint from a city-specific level to a multi-city or national scale.
  • Experience applying brand marketing and creative campaigns to reach complex new markets and audiences, in partnership with Policy, Public Affairs, or Consumer Advocacy teams.
  • Experience collaborating with a wide range of teams including product, communications, policy, operations, legal, and business development on brand strategy efforts.
  • A portfolio of successfully launched marketing campaigns with measurable results in brand lift, customer acquisition, or public perception.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with prior experience in consumer technology, transportation, or a regulated industry.
  • Experience managing co-marketing efforts ensuring programs effectively represent each brand and achieve shared objectives.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategies to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in brand planning for international or global market expansion.
  • Experience working in-house at a consumer and/or technology brand.

  • Growing experience in brand marketing or related fields.
