About the Role

Cox Automotive is seeking a Senior Editorial Strategist, Brand to join their team in a remote, work-from-home position. The role involves guiding editorial direction, creating multimedia experiences, and shaping narratives that resonate across platforms. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Strategy & Innovation by building and executing bold, data-informed audience strategies, developing and scaling AI-powered content workflows, and launching new multimedia content types tailored to the brand.
  • Drive Partnerships & Grow the Brand through developing strategies to increase engagement, cultivating internal and external partnerships, aligning content with business goals, identifying earned media opportunities, and building a social media presence.
  • Measure What Matters by owning traffic performance, optimizing content for AI-powered search engines, ensuring stories are structured for inclusion in AI summaries and voice assistants, tracking KPIs such as audience growth and engagement, and improving performance across social platforms and third-party channels.
  • Champion Culture & Collaboration by fostering curiosity, clarity, and continuous learning, collaborating across editorial, product, and marketing teams, modeling emotionally intelligent leadership, and working with SEO, product, and marketing teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' experience in a related field, or alternative combinations such as a master's degree with 2 years' experience, a Ph.D. with up to 1 year of experience, or 8 years' experience in a related field.
  • Strong proficiency with AI, analytics, and multimedia tools.
  • Proven success in audience development and content innovation.
  • Passion for journalism, storytelling, and the automotive space.
  • Clear communication skills with a bias for action.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset.
  • Skilled in analytical thinking, data gathering and reporting, effective presentations, and managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate with intent, drive innovation, engage others, focus on execution, and strive for excellence.
  • Requires up to 50% travel, including potential international destinations.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with multimedia content creation and distribution.
  • Knowledge of AI-powered content workflows and search engine optimization.
  • Experience in automotive industry storytelling.

Qualifications

  • Educational background including a bachelor's degree or higher in a related discipline.
  • Experience in content strategy, multimedia tools, and audience development.
