About the Role

The Brand Manager at NOV Inc. is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies for assigned brands, ensuring brand consistency, managing marketing assets, and collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams to maximize market penetration and brand perception. The role involves overseeing marketing initiatives, analyzing data, and managing budgets to support the company's objectives in a dynamic industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the marketing strategy for assigned brands.
  • Direct the development of marketing objectives per product line and region to ensure alignment.
  • Provide accessible communication channels internally and externally, including web, apps, print, and digital content.
  • Review data gathered via analytics and other sources to ensure messaging goals are being met.
  • Prioritize projects to maximize positive impact to NOV.
  • Establish scheduled sessions with leadership and SMEs to review, assess, and revise content strategy.
  • Ensure marketing initiatives are relevant and meaningful to target audiences by working with SMEs and conducting reviews.
  • Provide content in appropriate languages as needed.
  • Ensure brand consistency, including visual identity and messaging.
  • Manage the development, storage, and distribution of marketing assets and collateral.
  • Audit competitor content to stay informed of industry trends.
  • Understand target markets, customer needs, and drivers.
  • Enhance brand perception through PR and advertising efforts such as sponsorships, editorials, and white papers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with leadership across functions.
  • Collaborate with product line and sales leadership for market segment penetration.
  • Plan and oversee advertising and promotional activities across various media channels.
  • Work with legal to register trademarks and maintain related documentation.
  • Oversee the launch of new products and solutions for current and new market segments.
  • Plan, control, and measure marketing budget to ensure expenses align with objectives.
  • Manage social media channels for the brand.
  • Comply with all NOV company and HSE procedures.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product marketing or similar responsibilities such as Brand Management or Communications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present to audiences at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Outstanding collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in product marketing or brand management.
