Job Description

About the Role

The Brand Manager position at Constellation Brands is responsible for delivering specific business targets such as volume, profit, and share through the development and execution of brand strategies and plans. The role involves managing portfolio and brand strategy, business analytics, budgeting, media campaigns, sponsorship and event activation, cross-functional team leadership, innovation strategy, and integrated marketing communication within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment focused on high-end wine and spirits market leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for development and execution of strategic and annual marketing plans which address all aspects of the marketing mix.
  • Shared responsibility for the delivery of volume, share and profit objectives consistent with overall brand strategy, with P&L accountability for bottom line profitability.
  • Build premium consumer / trade equity for the brand through the design and execution of consumer and trade strategies including pricing, packaging, innovation, promotion, public relations, advertising/digital marketing and special events.
  • Develop and execute insights based strategic innovation plans to position the business for both short and long-term success.
  • Work closely with DTC, E-Commerce, and Hospitality teams to bring brand strategy and deliver omni-channel growth goals.
  • Perform ongoing business and competitive analyses and provide findings and recommendations for corrective action to Senior Management.
  • Manage brand projects, overall budget allocation, and prepare and present branded presentations to internal and external audiences.
  • Manage outside agency initiatives supporting the brand’s objectives, including promotion, media buying, and advertising agencies.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership, key accounts, internal field sales, and distributors to develop marketing programs and identify growth opportunities.
  • Liaise with international teams to ensure global brand strategy and execution consistency.
  • Manage multi-year brand S&OP forecast with Operations, including at-risk inventory review.
  • Drive stewardship of 360 programs and lead cross-functional team meetings.
  • Visit key markets to support market blitzes, new product launches, and surveys, reporting findings and recommendations to Senior Management.
  • Communicate regularly with internal groups such as Trade Marketing, Public Relations, Finance, Operations, and Production teams, ensuring projects stay on track.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • A minimum of 4+ years of CPG or Beverage Alcohol industry experience in marketing.
  • Experience in identifying key consumer insights, refining brand positioning, and developing brand strategies.
  • Experience in developing and managing brand plans for successful execution.
  • Strong results orientation with a proven track record of financial accountability and P&L management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing external agencies and complex projects with a focus on results.
  • Ability to provide coaching and guidance to team members.
  • Proficient in PC skills (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), syndicated databases (IRI or Nielsen), and custom databases.
  • Ability to be onsite at least 3 days a week at the winery.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule, including travel up to 30%, weekends, and evenings as required.
  • Must have a valid U.S. Passport.

Nice to Have

  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Certifications obtained through WSET Level 2 or 3, or Court of Master Sommeliers are desirable.
  • Solid understanding of the three-tier distribution system.
