About the Role

The Brand Manager of Taste and Menu will assist the Director of Taste and Menu in developing the Taste and Menu strategy and pipelines of audience and insight-based promotions to support an 18-month calendar. This role involves segmentation, competitive analysis, taste strategy, project management of promotions from ideation to launch, and leading national beverage strategy and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Taste and Menu in development of taste and menu strategy including segmentation, competitive analysis, and product analysis to create KFC's ownable taste POV.
  • Become a subject matter expert on global brand approaches to delivering taste to consumers.
  • Develop a future back menu vision for all meat blocks for KFC and align innovation strategies with key stakeholders.
  • Lead smaller cross-functional teams to refine ideas into tangible concepts aligned with brand and business goals.
  • Manage concept screening with target audiences and establish concepts in stage-gate process as validated projects.
  • Create project teams and work cross-functionally to confirm operational and financial feasibility, including ops testing.
  • Manage project team through development and execution of taste tests and internal/external alignment materials.
  • Oversee development and execution of national campaigns for taste and menu innovations.
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of innovation progress at key events and meetings.
  • Lead beverage strategy and partnerships, managing franchisee involvement and innovation of national beverage LTOs and menu launches.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Marketing Research, or Social Sciences with career aspirations in consumer marketing.
  • 6-8 years of experience post undergraduate degree, with 3-4 years post-MBA preferred.
  • Experience as a project leader delivering results through competitive and breakthrough strategies.
  • Proven track record of driving growth in an entrepreneurial environment with a startup mentality.
  • Product management experience leading multi-functional teams using stage-gate process.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
  • Deep analytical skills and ability to utilize data for decision-making amid ambiguity.
  • Experience building empathy with customers and extracting insights through field and co-development exercises.
  • Fundamentals of marketing and innovation, including creating offers, new products, and promotions that excite consumers.

  • MBA degree.
