Brand Marketing Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of annual marketing plans which address all aspects of the marketing mix including innovative owned, earned, and paid advertising and media, packaging, new product development and launches, base product renovations, pricing, promotion, and market research.
• Work closely with the Senior Brand Manager, Marketing Director, and all internal and external functions to translate long-term strategy into highly effective annual marketing and customer marketing plans.
• Establish and enhance product offering through identifying and assessing product and market opportunities.
• Serve as brand lead for commercialization of product initiatives that deliver the annual plan.
• Support analysis and diagnosis of external and internal brand and/or competitive performance.
• Work with cross-functional teams (including Consumer Insights, Packaging Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, Finance) to develop and execute key business initiatives.
• Work with key external agency partners to develop successful brand initiatives.
• Manage brand marketing budget.
• Oversee and be accountable for the assigned brand portfolio, including day-to-day management with an understanding of P&L management.

Requirements

• Residing location within a 1 hour drive of Portsmouth, NH or Chicago, IL strongly preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of progressive work experience in CPG brand management.
• An in-depth understanding of the US retail customers across channels.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, advertising, communications, economics, statistics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated success in consumer-centric organizations.
• Knowledge of new trends in brand building and consumer engagement channels (digital, e-commerce, social, etc.).
• Agile, forward-looking with a test, learn, improve, expand mentality.
• Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers.
• Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
• High attention to detail and quality standards.
• Strong understanding of IRI/Nielsen and/or other syndicated data sources.

Nice to Have

• Experience with digital, e-commerce, and social engagement channels.
• Experience in the food or consumer-packaged goods industry.
