About the Role

The Brand Marketing Manager helps elevate the university's brand and amplify its story across audiences, platforms, and touchpoints. Reporting to the Director of Creative Services, the role involves leading the implementation and evolution of ETSU's brand identity, ensuring consistency, creativity, and resonance in every expression of the university's voice and visual presence. Additionally, this role contributes to the development and creation of multimedia creative assets, blending creativity with strategic insight to develop campaigns and messaging that build brand awareness, support enrollment, engage stakeholders, and showcase ETSU's mission and regional impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and evolution of ETSU's brand identity to ensure consistency and creativity across all channels.
  • Develop and create multimedia creative assets that support branding and marketing campaigns.
  • Develop campaigns and messaging strategies to build brand awareness, support enrollment efforts, and engage stakeholders.
  • Contribute to storytelling and content strategy to appeal to diverse audiences including prospective students, donors, alumni, and the community.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deadlines effectively.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of brand architecture, identity systems, and multi-channel marketing strategies.
  • Proficiency in storytelling and content strategy.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret market research, audience insights, and performance analytics.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress, Webflow).
  • Basic knowledge of video and audio editing.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, web analytics, and digital marketing principles.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, design, digital media, communications, branding, public relations, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in brand management, marketing strategy, or related disciplines.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in higher education marketing or a similar industry.
  • Master's degree in a related field.

Qualifications
