About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize involvement in formal and on-the-job training to ensure understanding of products, compliance, sales processes, and messaging
  • Facilitate engagement of agents to build and advance the brand and product portfolio
  • Ensure agents adhere to sales and marketing guidelines related to Medicare regulations and company policies
  • Organize activities, leads, and territories for effective coordination
  • Conduct ride-alongs to observe sales techniques and ensure compliance with CMS regulations
  • Coach and develop staff to achieve performance targets using data and insights
  • Monitor sales results and trends, holding representatives accountable
  • Provide structured certification and training on processes and systems
  • Manage day-to-day activities to ensure success indicators and sales results
  • Build and nurture agent relationships through regular meetings and feedback
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills

Requirements

  • A state health insurance license or willingness to obtain one within 60 days of hire
  • 3+ years sales experience in Medicare, managed care, healthcare, or financial services
  • 3+ years of business development experience
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Proven professional relationships within broker markets or network sources
  • Driver's license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel within the market (Western PA, mostly Pittsburgh)
  • Good driving record and appropriate insurance
  • Ability to travel up to 80% within the market area

Nice to Have

  • Broker sales management experience
  • Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plans or managed care sales experience
  • Knowledge of CMS regulations
  • Established relationships in non-profit, senior housing, provider groups, community centers
