Business Development Manager Digital

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities for digital solutions within the mining sector.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with mining customers, OEM partners, and key industry stakeholders to drive adoption of digital technologies.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to align customer needs with product roadmaps and solution offerings.
• Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for digital products, including value propositions and sales campaigns.
• Conduct market research to assess trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in mining digitalization.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and demonstrations of digital solutions to customers and industry partners.
• Negotiate and close commercial agreements, ensuring profitability and long-term partnerships.
• Support pilot projects, proof-of-concepts, and implementation plans to validate digital product value in mining operations.
• Track and report on business development activities, pipeline growth, and revenue targets.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote digital product offerings.
• Provide feedback and insights to internal teams to support continuous improvement and innovation of digital solutions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and sustainability goals in digital solution deployment.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or account management within the mining, heavy equipment, or industrial technology sectors.
• Proven track record of driving revenue growth through digital product or technology solutions.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as engineering, product management, marketing, and operations.
• Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Mining, or a related field.
• Specialized training or certifications in digital transformation, mining technology, automation, or data analytics is an asset.
• Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) considered an advantage.
