The Fluid Systems Division in North Hollywood is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead strategic marketing, market analysis, and growth initiatives, collaborating closely with engineering and operations teams to identify opportunities and drive profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works with Group and Division Marketing to develop strategic and tactical plans to obtain short and long-term objectives with market research and innovation.
  • Conducts competitive research, evaluates sales performance, and formulates goals and milestones for specific products and systems.
  • Serves as the liaison and facilitator with customers and Group/Division/Country Marketing to resolve issues and assure customer satisfaction regarding cost, product quality, delivery, and performance.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with customers to gain knowledge of future market and customer needs and further develop business opportunities.
  • Identifies opportunities for business development by studying competitors' products, benchmarking, problems, market intelligence, and identifying trends.
  • Establishes goals and objectives to carry out programs or functions by coordinating all efforts across the division.
  • Serves as a technical subject expert and resource, sharing specialized knowledge and representing the company on specific projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Engineering, or related field; MBA desired.
  • Ten or more years of increasingly responsible experience performing essential functions of the job.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of principles, industry practices, company products, technology, regulations, service capabilities, and policies related to marketing and business development.
  • Knowledge of program management, business processes, and procedures, including technical and business proposal development.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international customer budgeting, acquisition processes, and procurement regulations.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, evaluate situations with intangible variables or incomplete data, and understand long-term perspectives.
  • Proficiency with standard business applications software and effective communication skills for presenting to management and customers.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Knowledge and experience with airframe and engine utility system components and sub-systems.
  • Familiarity with aerospace organizational structures for internal and external business development activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of ten years of relevant experience.
