About the Role

The Business Manager, Natural at Impact Natural Specialty Sales, a division of Acosta Group, is responsible for increasing the market share of natural and specialty brands in an established market. The role involves managing a portfolio of brands, supporting clients, key accounts, and distributors, and serving as the main point of contact between clients and the sales team. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of brands, including client support, key account support, and distributor support.
  • Serve as the main point-of-contact for clients and act as a liaison between clients and the selling team.
  • Partner with clients and manufacturers to create promotional programs for retailers.
  • Meet regularly with clients to determine sales goals and priorities, report on progress, and solve challenges.
  • Develop and execute plans to meet client goals.
  • Proactively communicate with clients regarding line and program status.
  • Provide necessary tools to the retail team to achieve client sales objectives.
  • Utilize data tools to provide analytics to the sales team and clients.
  • Ensure all retailer new item and promotional paperwork is prepared correctly and submitted by deadlines.
  • Present and gain approval for new items at periodic meetings with key retail accounts and distributors.
  • Conduct regular line reviews with distributors.
  • Work with distributors to resolve turnover order problems, new item set-up, and promotional programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven track record in sales, preferably with a food broker or national company.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, negotiation, and sales skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales and marketing information for effective sales presentations.
  • Proficiency in various software packages supporting sales functions.
  • Willingness to travel.

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling to retailers in the natural channel through distribution clients such as UNFI, Kehe, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
