About the Role

The Category Management Analyst is responsible for the analysis and reporting of market, customer, and consumer related data and insights. The role involves making recommendations to increase category sales, improve customer satisfaction, and ROI, supporting the company's goal of fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within a team of 40,000 problem solvers. The position emphasizes leveraging data to identify opportunities and drive business growth in alignment with the company's values of valuing others, inspiring innovation, growing responsibly, and winning together.

Key Responsibilities

Generate standardized and ad hoc reports utilizing internal and external data sources, managing large data sets to produce clear and insightful reports and presentations using Microsoft Office, Power BI, and other visual analytics software, ensuring timely delivery.
Develop and maintain customized Point of Sales reporting tools and dashboards to communicate sales and inventory trends to customers, and follow up with ad hoc queries to support trend analysis.
Communicate business trends and insights to internal and external customers.
Make recommendations on changes in assortment, inventory, and pricing based on data and market knowledge to increase revenue and profitability.
Understand the competitive landscape, monitor retailer pricing, and communicate developments to customers and internal teams.
Conduct in-store audits of planograms and merchandising tactics and report findings.
Develop and maintain forecasting tools and support business unit reviews of forecasts.
Manage assigned customer accounts and perform other duties as required.

Requirements

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business or Science.
Proficient computer skills with ERP/MRP applications, Microsoft Office Applications, and Microsoft Power BI.
Demonstrated strong analytical skills.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both written and oral.
Adaptability and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and resolve issues.
Confident, professional manner in dealing with internal and external customers.
Proven track record of cross-functional interaction.
Confidence, intellectual capability, and energy to be promotable within the organization.

Nice to Have

Experience with visual analytics software beyond Power BI.
Previous experience in category management or retail analytics.
Knowledge of market trends and competitive landscape analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business or Science.
