About the Role

The Client Manager is responsible for a blend of internal partnership & delivery activities and client facing functions, utilizing professional skills in Commercial Property and Casualty Insurance. The role involves managing client inquiries, processing endorsements, maintaining client relationships and retention, and ensuring client profitability on a personally assigned book of business. The position requires managing and retaining select accounts, understanding market trends, reviewing customer contracts, coordinating meetings, and ensuring legal and compliance needs are met. Employment-based non-immigrant visa sponsorship and/or assistance are not offered for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and retain select accounts based on revenue, industry, coverage needs, and other factors.
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends and changes to anticipate or understand shifting client needs.
  • Review and interpret customer contracts to ensure appropriate coverages are provided.
  • Schedule internal and external strategy meetings and document outcomes.
  • Review, finalize, and deliver current and expiring exposures.
  • Work with internal and external parties to gather updated exposures and underwriting information.
  • Obtain updated client exposure documentation and perform needs and gap analysis.
  • Manage implementation of accurate billing based on client and carrier instructions.
  • Design, prepare, negotiate, and deliver fee/compensation agreements to clients.
  • Ensure process delivery meets legal and compliance requirements.
  • Complete client proposals and other deliverables.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement activities.
  • Partner with peers and resources across service centers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Property & Casualty insurance experience in a client-facing or carrier-facing role.
  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Property & Casualty insurance knowledge/experience.
  • Strong problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including phone and email communication.
  • Analytical ability, decision-making skills, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Critical thinking, research, quantitative skills, and creativity.
  • Process orientation skills.
  • Technology proficiency with internal agency management systems (Epic, ServiceHub, Broking Platform, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and engage with extended team members.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel, including formulas and Pivot tables.
  • Ability to maintain required licensing through Continuing Education activities.
  • Valid confirmation of current P&C Producers License.
  • Insurance industry designations (CPCU, ARM, CIC, CRM) are preferred but not required.

  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Valid P&C Producers License.
