The Commercial Account Manager role involves providing high-level customer service to commercial lines clients, working independently and collaboratively to design and execute insurance programs tailored to client needs, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, producers, and carrier representatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Explore, create, execute, and review all information necessary to design and implement appropriate insurance programs for clients, both new and renewal, in accordance with agency and underwriting guidelines.
  • Manage and maintain assigned book of business, ensuring timely renewal processes to protect client, agency E&O exposure, and carrier relationships.
  • Accurately represent insured(s) to carrier partners according to agency submission standards.
  • Prepare proposals and summaries of insurance, collaborate with producers to present proposals to clients, and obtain required signatures and warranties to secure coverage.
  • Maintain and update agency management systems with all required information according to agency procedures.
  • Prepare summaries of insurance for producer and client review.
  • Prioritize and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate handling of responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with producers, associates, and team members, providing technical support to assist clients and reach agency goals.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry state and federal rules, regulations, and carrier underwriting requirements.
  • Consult, inform, and educate clients on coverages, exclusions, and exposures.
  • Represent the agency in collaboration with producers in handling complaints and concerns to maintain positive relationships with clients and carriers.
  • Perform all other duties requested by management to help achieve organizational goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Property & casualty license.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to think critically regarding complex solutions.
  • Above-average mathematical skills.
  • Respect for client and associate confidentiality.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with AMS360, ImageRight/WorkSmart, and carrier website platforms.
  • Three to five years' experience in property & casualty marketing (preferred).
  • Awareness of E&O exposure and use of E&O prevention techniques.

Nice to Have

  • Associates level or higher education (preferred).
  • CISR, CIC or equivalent designation.

Qualifications

  • Property & casualty license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associates level or higher education (preferred).
