About the Role

The Senior Commercial Account Executive at Marsh McLennan Agency manages larger and more complex client insurance programs, serving as a main point of contact with clients, vendors, and internal teams. The role involves technical expertise in insurance policies, client relationship management, team coordination, and strategic planning to ensure superior service and client satisfaction within a collaborative and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Client Insurance Program using agency management systems, including documentation, policy review, and renewal processes.
  • Act as the main point of contact with clients, vendors, and the marketplace to ensure proper processing of requests and maintain positive relationships.
  • Prepare and create insurance applications, proposals, binders, certificates, and other documentation for client policies and renewals.
  • Coordinate and participate in client meetings, including mid-year and renewal meetings, to discuss coverage, claims, and safety/loss control issues.
  • Analyze insurance quotes, interpret policy requirements, and communicate with carriers and clients as needed.
  • Manage accounts receivables, direct billing, and premium finance requests.
  • Delegate tasks to Account Managers and outsourcing teams, ensuring completion and quality control.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships, negotiate with carriers, and assist in plan recommendations.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with documentation guidelines, policy audits, and quality checks.
  • Support team development by mentoring and providing guidance to Account Executives and Managers.

Requirements

  • Licensed Texas P&C Agent.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of Account Executive experience preferred, or 7-10 years of midmarket Commercial Account Executive experience.
  • CIC, CRM, or CPCU designation required; if no designation, 10-15 years of experience as an Account Executive preferred.
  • Proven ability to meet objectives through effective delegation and account management.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work beyond scheduled hours to meet client needs.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, internet technologies, and premium analysis software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, confidentiality, diplomacy, and tactfulness in client service.
  • Experience in client-facing roles, including presentations, strategy meetings, and claims reviews.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with agency management systems and carrier online rating programs.
  • Knowledge of policy forms and endorsements.
  • Experience in designing insurance programs based on client needs.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Texas P&C Agent.
