About the Role

We are seeking a creative and versatile Communications Specialist to develop dynamic, engaging marketing and advertising content that builds customer engagement and trust. This role involves conceptualizing and copywriting compelling content for digital and print deliverables, including email campaigns, direct mail, social media, digital display ads, video, radio, and more. The position is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a hybrid work model, and emphasizes a passion for sustainability and renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Concept and write customer-focused marketing, advertising, and web content that drives results.
  • Collaborate with art directors and marketing partners to brainstorm and develop creative concepts.
  • Present content options to stakeholders and revise as needed through to final production.
  • Balance and prioritize a high volume of projects, managing timelines effectively.
  • Support initiatives that promote sustainability and renewable energy messaging.

Requirements

  • Minimum of years of copywriting or communications experience in a large corporate environment, strongly preferred in a publicly traded organization.
  • Proven ability to create content across multiple channels, including digital and print.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing diverse writing samples.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • Passion for sustainability and knowledge of renewable energy topics is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with content management systems such as Adobe Experience Manager, WordPress, or Sitecore.
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, or Eloqua.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Workfront, Asana, Jira, or Trello.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Experience with collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or Slack.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, or Adobe Analytics.
  • Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of social media management tools such as Sprinklr or Hootsuite.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms like Campaign Monitor or Constant Contact.
