Key Responsibilities

  • Provide research leadership, planning, and execution of high-end analytics and strategic business analysis supporting the organization and institutions.
  • Act as the primary Consumer Insights contact for an institution(s), coordinating efforts to execute research plans.
  • Ensure research efforts stay within approved budgets and objectives.
  • Provide expert insights and counsel to internal business partners and external vendors based on research findings.
  • Lead development of multi-year strategic research plans and prioritization for institutions.
  • Independently lead method recommendations, vendor identification, and study design alignment.
  • Manage vendors, analyze research findings, and present results to audiences from junior to executive levels.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities independently to support internal and external clients.
  • Lead complex analytical studies including segmentation, business driver analysis, marketing mix modeling, conjoint analysis, and industry forecasts.
  • Oversee predictive quantitative modeling such as enrollment projection and media channel effectiveness.
  • Integrate segmentation into annual business and marketing planning processes.
  • Represent Consumer Insights on multifunctional taskforces within and across institutions.
  • Manage freelance/contract resources and/or junior team members as assigned.
  • Synthesize primary and secondary research to develop brand positioning and business recommendations.
  • Create fact-based business case documents for internal partner recommendations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and ensure compliance with policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Eight (8) or more years of experience in consumer marketing research or related areas.
  • Experience with design and analysis of survey research, tracking/brand equity, or advertising research.
  • Proficiency in statistical packages such as SAS or SPSS.
  • Knowledge of applied statistical methods including regression models, time series analysis, segmentation, conjoint analysis, and factor analysis.
  • Strong understanding of quantitative research methods and statistics.
  • Experience with data collection and tabulation for survey research, including sampling, crosstab analysis, and multivariate weighting.
  • Adept at questionnaire development, sample design, analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, including presentation experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Strategic thinking with an understanding of tactical implications.

Nice to Have

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Experience with industry conventions in data collection and analysis.
