The Market Intelligence Manager will lead the market research team, responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting market and industry data to support decision-making and build competitive advantage. This role involves developing analytical frameworks, data visualization tools, and reporting to senior leadership, as well as managing research staff and collaborating across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead processes for gathering quantitative and qualitative market and competitor intelligence for identified industry growth categories.
  • Gather and evaluate relevant market, client, and competitor information to review market position and determine threats and opportunities.
  • Develop methods to conduct market research to identify trends affecting the industry in all relevant areas including political and legal to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Utilize Artificial Intelligence tools to automate data collection and analysis, uncover hidden patterns in large datasets, monitor social media for sentiment and trends, and create predictive models to forecast market shifts and customer behavior.
  • Develop models to analyze data to track campaign performance and provide insights for improvement.
  • Manage processes to turn data into insights while synthesizing and clearly communicating analysis, both written and verbal.
  • Lead the development of market/business plans and recommendations based on data, analysis, and interpretation in support of senior decision makers.
  • Develop methods and processes for gathering, tracking, and reporting competitive intelligence to support marketing and business development, including assessing federal, state, and local budgetary and spending analysis.
  • Analyze data from internal and external sources to identify trends related to marketing metrics.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support to drive actionable decision making and strategic planning.
  • Work with senior staff, business unit leaders, and strategic planners to support market research, strategic plans, and market strategies.
  • Manage market research projects, reports, and data visualization for internal use.
  • Manage the compilation and production of sales and marketing reports relevant to the AEC industry.
  • Direct supervision of a small team of research analysts and support staff.
  • Manage external market research vendors and consultants.

Requirements

  • Experience leading market research teams and managing research projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Experience utilizing Artificial Intelligence tools for data collection and analysis.
  • Ability to develop models to analyze data and forecast market trends.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting insights to senior leadership and broad audiences.
  • Experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry or related fields is preferred.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with social media monitoring and sentiment analysis.
  • Knowledge of political and legal factors affecting industry trends.
  • Experience working with federal, state, and local government data.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in market research, data analysis, or related fields.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience with AI tools and data modeling.
